Simple to install unit just drill a hole in your supply or return plenum, insert the unit, mount the power pack to the ductwork using the included screws and wire it to any 24 VAC power supply. This unit is designed to run 24/7. The UV lamp needs to be replaced every 24 months like most other UV systems. The model 2124-Z is designed to remove odors as well as pathogens. It is very good at removing odors.
